Terms & Conditions of Service
Effective Date: 10th July 2026
By engaging BritPowerServices Ltd to perform electrical engineering, testing, maintenance, or installation works, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions.
1. Scope of Works and Quotes
All quotes provided by BritPowerServices Ltd are valid for a period of 30 days from the date of issue. The price quoted is strictly limited to the specific tasks and materials detailed in the written estimate. Any auxiliary variations, structural modifications, or fault-finding diagnostics requested during the execution phase will be costed separately as a project variation.
2. Site Access & Safety
Clients must ensure that our electrical engineers have clear, unobstructed, and safe access to all distribution boards, consumer units, cable routes, and utility meters at the scheduled time. In accordance with Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidelines, if a site presents unsafe working conditions, asbestos exposure risks, or severe sanitary concerns, BritPowerServices Ltd reserves the right to suspend operations. Aborted visits due to restricted access or unsafe site conditions may incur a call-out fee.
3. Payment & Settlement Terms
- Residential Clients: Payment is due immediately upon the completion of works and prior to the release of NICEIC electrical installation certificates or EICR documentation.
- Commercial & Corporate Clients: Settlement terms are strictly 14 days from the date of invoice, unless a dedicated corporate maintenance contract is active.
- Retention of Title: All fixtures, switches, consumer units, distribution boards, and cabling remain the legal property of BritPowerServices Ltd until full clearing of payment is confirmed.
4. Electrical Warranties
All brand new electrical components and installations completed by our team are covered by a 12-month craftsmanship warranty from the completion date. Component manufacturing defects are covered under the respective supplier/manufacturer warranty. Craftsmanship warranties do not apply to temporary repairs, existing cabling networks, or issues arising from subsequent user overloading or third-party alterations.
5. Limitation of Liability
BritPowerServices Ltd maintains comprehensive public liability insurance of £10,000,000 and professional indemnity insurance. Except in cases of personal injury or death directly caused by gross negligence, our maximum liability for any property damage, operational downtime, or technical fault is capped at the total contract value of the specific project component.
